This permit covers species scientific investigation or identification activities which includes the collection, possession and transportation of various benthic macrofauna such as annelids, arthropods, mollusks, echinoderms, and meiofauna.

The specimens will be sent to Fugro UK labs in the United Kingdom for identification, with the intention to return voucher specimens to the Iziko Museum in South Africa after the completion of the counts.
